OUR STORY

Growing up, Churchill St. owner Carly Gatzlaff and her family had a usual place in their North Dakota town—a restaurant with fantastic food, friendly people and an open, airy atmosphere that was always bustling.

It was a restaurant, but not just a restaurant.

It was a place to meet up with someone new, hang out with old friends or run into a neighbor—a reliable, much-loved community gathering place.

In 2021, the Churchill St. team opened its doors to welcome the Shoreview and neighboring community to gather together and enjoy each other’s company for years to come.

MISSION

Our mission is to be a force for good in the world. That mission extends into everything we do, from the food we serve to our sustainability efforts to our community partnerships.

We partner with Second Harvest Heartland’s Kitchen Coalition program to support hunger relief in our community. Kitchen Coalition is a network of food banks, restaurants and nonprofits working together to prepare and deliver hearty, nutritious, culturally connected meals to people dealing with food insecurity.
